With weekly workshops in all elements of drama and performance for juniors (10-12year olds) and seniors (13-18yr old second level students) RCYT is the place to be from classes with the in house team, guest tutors covering different elements of performance, theatre trips and other amazing opportunities. RCYT Membership

As a member of RCYT you will be involved in our annual programme which includes weekly workshops, masterclasses with guest tutors, theatre trips, auditions and the opportunity to participate in our annual professional production.

You will also have the opportunity to take part in programmes and events in association with Youth Theatre Ireland.

Through RCYT, members have participated in International Programmes, the National Youth Theatre, the Young Critics, the Young Leaders Programme, various training events and of course; so many members highlight – the residential National Festival of Youth Theatres.

Contract of Membership

Roscommon County Youth Theatre is dedicated to the development and promotion of youth theatre through training, production and access, and encourages a greater understanding of the potential of drama as a medium for learning and as a means of expression for young people. The methods and code of practice of RCYT are based on the concepts of opportunity, empowerment, access and artistic excellence. Members are provided with a programme of the highest quality which as well as being of immense benefit in terms of personal development are also a basis for any young person to pursue a career in theatre, film or any of the performing arts. Participation in RCYT activities is a special opportunity, and each person involved is entitled to a positive experience. As part of this philosophy, all members are required to adhere to the standards listed in the contract.
