Cinnevate

CINNEVATE – A film project where participants devised, wrote, performed and filmed their own movies under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Graham Cantwell & Artistic Director of Roscommon County Youth Theatre Catherine Sheridan.

The premise was to create an original piece of work that represents the participants; their identities, views, worries, hopes, dreams, fears & their ambitions. The idea was to make a film, that encapsulates them as young people today in 2023. They expressed their views and ideas for this project and got completely immersed in it.

There was a wealth of new skills learned ranging from story structure, script creation, collaborating with peers, using film equipment, bringing scripts to life, problem solving, location shooting, film editing and experiencing what it is like to make a film from concept to screen.

FOUR short films were created during the project which will be shown on Culture Night 2023 at Roscommon Arts Centre.
